“Solaris” is the name of this series inspired by a Stanislaw Lem´s science fiction novel about an enigmatic planet covered by an intelligent sea which is able to inquire into the minds of human beings, reflecting their subconscious, in the same way Javier ‘s work aims to reflect the viewer´s subconscious.
The forces of movement Javier talks about in his art work, are present in liquid and gaseous media, and are observable at different scales: in a small scale it can be observed in the movement of atoms or the water from a household drain; in a large scale in cones like tornadoes, typhoons and sea currents suction; and in a cosmic scale in the movements of the planets around the sun or the rotation of galaxies. The artist interprets this as a “perfect choreography.”
